.ERIC PRICE - Operations Manager

I'm Eric and I co manage CIP. I went to Glan y Mor school, and then to a college inNewcastleto study agriculture as I'm from a farming background.
I have been up in a glider which was a hair-raising moment (I had hair then!), especially when the pilot said take over for a few minutes! Gliding with an open cockpit with no motor, a very liberating experience.
I enjoy working in CIP as I enjoy the energy and enthusiasm young people have. Seeing young people grow and develop is a very rewarding experience. The people that work in CIP are dedicated to their roles, and are very fun people to be around. Our volunteers are invaluable to our service and their efforts are appreciated by all of us.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Although keen on all sports I am especially keen on rugby and if I had a superpower id be the Welsh fly half scoring the try that wins the World cup againstNew Zealand, Happy days! I admire people who give their best, no matter what standard they reach.
ALICE HORWOOD - Operations Manager

I'm Alice and work as the Joint Service Manager in CIP. I went to Ysgol Botwnnog (I was tractor reversing champion for 5 years running...) and went on to study A-Levels in Coleg Meirion Dwyfor, I also studied in Leeds and Bangor University.
The scariest thing I've Ever done is jumping out of a plane at 9,000 ft. in New Zealand. The scariest thing I did yesterday was kill Fred, the man-eating spider living in my bedroom. There are loads of reasons I enjoy working in CIP; I enjoy facing new challenges everyday. working as part of a really supportive, enthusiastic team; who each have their own unique qualities. I especially like being part of an organisation that supports the needs of local young people and meeting all the different individuals who drop-in an use the CIP service.
Outside of CIP I like horse riding, excercising, listening to music, seeing my friends, watching films and so on. if I had a super power it would have to be being able to fly!!
Marc Hughes - Outdoor activity coordinator.
My role in CIP is to organise outdoor activities and raise awareness about the environment and what Lleyn Peninsula has to offer.
I went to Botwnnog high school followed by Pwllheli college and University of Wales in Cardiff studying Leisure and sports management. I am very interested in keeping myself healthy and active and enjoying seeing others take part and enjoy activities through CIP.
October 2010 I took part in the Eryri marathon - it was by far the hardest thing I have ever done but very rewarding. I am a qualified personal trainer and very open to share my knowledge with anyone who has an interest in health and/or nutrition.
If you have any ideas on outdoor activities please contact me @: cipactivities@hotmail.co.uk
JAIMIE FOULKES - Senior youth worker
I have been a senior yoth worker at CIP since it opened on March 2008. Since I've worked here I have developed and grown with CIP and its members. The three years that I've worked in CIP have really opened my eyes to the fact that young people are our future. My role is to make their voices heard and enable them to have the best opportunity and chance possible through their developing life.
I went to Glan y Mor high school and currently studying a substance misuse degree at university. This degree will allow me to engage with the growing number of issues that causes the misuse of drugs and alcohol.
I'm looking forward to a future with CIP and to try and make sure that we continue to grow and provide a better future for all.
Aled Wyn Evans - Indoor session coordinator
My name is Aled and I work as a sectional worker here in C.I.P. My current project here is the music group which I hold on a weekly basis (on a Wednesday). It’s going really well at the moment; there’s one band (Lean on Gravity), who are progressing well.
I went to Ysgol Glan Y Mor; obtaining my GCSE’s in 2004. Whilst I was in school, I joined a metal band with my friends and experienced some of my fondest memories. We had the experience of recording at various locations; including the cutting rooms in Manchester.J We played gigs around the North Wales area and made some friends along the way. We even organised a charity gig for 3 consecutive years in the Town hall in Pwllheli.
The band continued whilst I studied A-levels in Psychology, Law, French and English literature at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor. During this period of my life I went to countless gigs in Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff. I took great pleasure in attending various music festivals, like Download Festival (over many years) and Leeds festival in 2008. It was definitely worth saving up for!!
Following this I was fortunate enough to study a BSc Psychology degree in Bangor University. These were really challenging years; however the fight was definitely worth it as I now get to apply what I’ve learnt to help other people; mainly young people and people living with mental health conditions in my primary job with Anheddau Cyf.
In my spare time I like catching up with my girlfriend and friends, walking, finding and listening to music, watching films and some form of exercise when I can motivate myself. :-P
